An Internal Cleanse & Detoxification program is a “2 or 3-Week Break” from heavy, acidic foods and can be a jumpstart or launching pad towards better eating and lifestyle choices.
The main reason why diets don’t work and people cannot permanently lose weight is because they are not losing the accumulated waste, acids and mucus from the body with a “diet”. Remove the excess waste and acidity through internal cleansing & detoxification and the weight begins to drip off for good.


What are the Internal Cleansing & Detoxification Programs?

Internal Cleansing & Detoxification is the process of clearing excess waste and potential toxins from the body as well as clearing excess mucus and congestion from the body. The body can release impurities and toxins when it is fed foods in easy-to-digest form, specifically live plant-based foods according to Dr. Ann Wigmore.

  • Internal Cleansing can rid the body of impurities, normalize digestion & metabolism and regain alkaline balance
  • Eliminate acid wastes and negative microforms (molds, yeast, fungus) throughout the body
  • Remove the “build-up” of waste and mucus congestion especially in the colon.

What’s Involved

  • Dietary and lifestyle changes for a short period of time (optimally 10-21 days). Adopting a plant-based vegan diet which eliminates animal and dairy products.

  • Avoiding chemicals from food or other sources to minimize toxin load. For example

    • Refined foods

    • Animal products

    • Dairy products

    • Refined sugar- common trigger food

NOTE: If you are experiencing any gastrointestinal issues, like gas, bloating, constipation, IBS, etc., it is suggested to reduce foods that contain gluten during the cleanse- foods that are free of wheat, rye, barley and their derivatives as gluten is a common allergen and can be the cause of many digestive issues.

  • Drinking extra water and increasing fiber by including more fruits and vegetables.

  • Taking food based supplements to maximize the effects of the cleanse & bring the body into balance more quickly.  Each program has a suggested set of food based products.   A complete list of products are described in each program.

  • Colon Hydrotherapy or home enemas and a 3-4 day juice diet consisting of fresh fruit and vegetable juice may also be suggested for those who are advanced in doing internal cleansing programs. (not required)

Suggested Hardware
You don’t have to have a Vita-Mix or expensive kitchen gadgets to start a cleanse. The only piece of equipment that you will need to have is a blender. If you have a juicer, that would be great, but not necessary to complete the cleanse.
